EMEL announces that it has proceeded with the installation of approved automatic fire extinguishing systems in the engine area of buses that did not have such systems, as they were registered before 01/09/2021 when the European Regulation came into effect. As a result, the small number of routes that were not operated last week will be restored to normalcy starting from Monday morning.
Consequently, as of Monday morning, all EMEL school routes, which are more than 160, will be conducted normally, without any changes, as well as the regular operation of public passenger transportation services in the city and province of Limassol will continue without interruption.
